I think my feelings about the events that followed 9/11 were shaped by having experienced the day itself in the midst of people from so many different nationalities. I never felt like the tragedy belonged solely to Americans. Much of the world was mourning with us. And so many people from other countries have relatives here, so they were impacted too. We really are a global community.Maliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079242466743529453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586136105216004246.post-60825076987247460692011-09-09T09:28:57.384-07:002011-09-09T09:28:57.384-07:00What a remarkable experience, Malia. Plenty of other people were affected and forever changed, too.Abbyhttp://www.abbyofftherecord.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586136105216004246.post-88019727767569852962011-09-09T09:17:34.030-07:002011-09-09T09:17:34.030-07:00I have to say I was in a good place - I heard the ...I have to say I was in a good place - I heard the news on the car radio on my way to babysit for my church's MOPS group. Nothing like listening to the radio, snuggling tiny babies. I have friends that were on their honeymoon. I hope your parents have had some good anniversaries since then.Maliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079242466743529453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2586136105216004246.post-30169660194500213742011-09-08T22:46:40.530-07:002011-09-08T22:46:40.530-07:00It was my parents 30th anniversary. Our family will never forget what happened that day. My parents will never forget what happened on their anniversary.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01181363488794387993noreply@blogger.com
